LANDSCAPE & ESTATES

To me, the landscape is just as important
as the home. I don't see them as separate entities, but as one flowing habitat. The landscape can be viewed as a series of outdoor rooms; the entrance, entertainment, recreation, storage, viewing, relaxing, and eating. Each "room" has its function just like inside the house. The architectural elements of these rooms are what define them: walls, gates, fences, water features, pergolas, patios, seat walls, steps, etc. And the boundaries of these spaces are defined by the plantings. When these outdoor rooms are tied to the house, flowing together, it becomes one beautiful living space.
