A water element, whether a fountain or swimming pool, is an important feature in the outdoor space. It provides a cooling, soothing presence that is very satisfying for the user. The sound of moving water is very calming, and swimming in it is a treat we have all loved since childhood. For these reasons, I always design water into the landscape.
